Very nice coffee shop. During our stay in Canmore we came here every morning for coffee and were pleased every time. The service is fast and friendly. The coffee is good and they have a great selection of breakfast items and treats!

As "one of the best coffee shops" in Canmore, I was excited to try this place out with my fiancé! We walked inside at 7:30AM on a Monday morning, so basically all of the tables and barstools were open for us! There were so many options, so it was hard to choose! I noticed how Beamer's sells day-old pastries at a reduced price. I love how they do this because I know so much food goes to waste just because it isn't "less than a day old", and other people could use that food as well! I was eyeing a cinnamon roll when a large dark brown square caught my attention. I was told it's a Nanaimo bar, a Canadian treat with chocolate and cookie dough flavors. With this in mind, I ordered a vanilla chai latte and a Nanaimo bar, while my fiance ordered an apple puff pastry.
The vanilla chai latte was quite sweet! Its warmth was soothing especially a cold winter's day. The Nanaimo bar was also quite sweet! It turns out it had a mix of chocolate, cookie, and coconut on the bottom. This part was sweet, but not too overpowering that I couldn't taste the sweet cookie flavored filling. The top was made of delicious milk chocolate. All together, this made a wonderfully sweet chocolate-centered treat! It was a bit sweet for my tastes to have for breakfast, but it was still my favorite part of breakfast.
The apple puff pastry was dusted with large sugar particles, so it was definitely sweet. I also liked how buttery the pastry was. Beamer's gave a generous helping of apples coated in a cinnamon glaze, so this was also something I enjoyed!
I would love to come back to Beamer's and try out the different kinds of treats here! Judging by the quality of the Nanaimo bar and apple puff pastry, I am sure the other treats are just as delicious! -

We were wandering around looking for coffee after 6:30pm so a lot of the shops we passed were already closed, but then we found Beamer's! The coffee I got was delicious but my friends caramel apple cider was amazing & perfect for the crisp fall evening. I would love to come back to sip cider & enjoy the view! A great, cozy find.

Met the owner, Michael Beamer, who started his boutique coffee shop "Beamer's" back in 1994. We struck up a conversation of his humble beginnings waaay back then. Success stories like his fascinates me. He has now expanded into three more locations - great product, great person, great service. Highly recommend!

People weren't kidding when they talk about the muffins here. Please drop by on your way to Banff for breakfast! The muffins are so dense and moist, it basically lasted me two breakfasts. The coffee was solid too. Plenty of options on coffee, tea and baked goods.
